# Cookie Policy

Social Influence Builder ("we", "our", "us") operates socialinfluencebuilder.com. This policy explains which cookies and tracking technologies our site uses, what they do and how you can manage your preferences.
This policy works alongside our Privacy Policy (/en/privacy-policy/) and applies to anyone who visits our site, wherever they are located. By continuing to use our site after adjusting your cookie preferences, you agree to the choices you made.
## 1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit a website. It lets the site recognize your browser from one visit or page to the next.
Some cookies are set directly by our site (first-party cookies). Others come from tools we embed, such as an audience-measurement tool or a call-tracking service; those are set by the provider of that tool (third-party cookies). Our site may also use similar technologies, such as browser local storage, for the same purposes.
## 2. Cookie categories we use
We group the cookies on our site into three categories: necessary, audience and advertising.
Necessary cookies keep the site running and cannot be turned off. Audience cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages they view and which channel brought them here. Advertising cookies measure how our ad campaigns perform.
Only necessary cookies are set automatically. Audience and advertising cookies are switched on only once you consent, as required under Quebec's Law 25.
The table in the next section lists every cookie active on our site, its category, provider, purpose and how long it lasts.
## 3. Cookies and tools we use
We use Google Analytics 4, a Google LLC tool connected to our site through the Google Site Kit plugin, to measure traffic: pages viewed, time spent on the site and where visitors come from.
We also use PostHog, a product analytics tool, to see how visitors interact with our pages. That data passes through a relay hosted on our own domain rather than going straight to a third-party server.
WhatConverts, our call and form tracking tool, matches each phone call and form submission to the marketing channel that produced it, such as search, paid ads or a referral. This shows us which marketing channel brings in customers, beyond raw click counts.
An OpenAI advertising pixel measures how our ad campaigns on OpenAI's platforms perform.
Our site, built on WordPress, may also set a technical cookie when someone signs in to the administration area, to check that their browser accepts cookies. This cookie is not set for ordinary visitors browsing the site.
## 4. How long cookies last
Each cookie is kept for the length of time shown in the table in the previous section, set either by our site or by the provider of the tool in question.
Some cookies expire when you close your browser (session cookies). Others stay on your device for a set period before they are automatically deleted. You can also delete them manually at any time through your browser settings, which usually removes cookies from every site you have visited, not just ours.
## 5. Transfers outside Quebec
Some of the providers we use (Google, PostHog, OpenAI, WhatConverts) process data on servers located outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before each transfer, we assess the provider and remain responsible for protecting your personal information, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25.
We select providers that apply safeguards to the personal information they process on our behalf.
## 6. Your choices and your consent
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and change your mind at any time. Use the "Manage my cookie preferences" button on this page to adjust your choices by category.
Once saved, your preferences carry over to later visits from the same browser and device. If you clear your browser's cookies, switch devices or browse in private mode, your choices are no longer remembered and the site will ask again.
You can also set your browser to block or delete cookies, though some parts of the site may then work less well. If you give us your email address and agree to receive marketing communications, that consent is separate from your cookie preferences and can be withdrawn at any time under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
## 7. Your rights
Under Quebec's Law 25 and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted and withdraw your consent to its collection. These rights apply to the personal information cookies help us collect, such as your browsing behaviour and how you found our site.
