## at a glance

Barranco Montreal is an authentic Peruvian restaurant based in Montreal. The kitchen serves dishes built around Peruvian flavours, aimed at neighbourhood regulars and anyone curious about Latin American cuisine looking for something different from the usual dinner spot.

Before working with SIB, Barranco depended almost entirely on word of mouth to fill the dining room. Great food alone wasn't enough: their online presence was practically nonexistent, which capped how many new customers they could reach beyond people who already knew the place.

## what was the starting point?

Barranco Montreal, an authentic Peruvian restaurant, struggled to attract new customers despite exceptional cuisine. Their online presence was virtually non-existent and they relied solely on word of mouth to fill their dining room.

## What did we find?

### Nearly nonexistent online presence

Their online presence was practically nonexistent, with no site built to turn visitors into reservations. A restaurant relying only on word of mouth plateaus fast, especially with diners who check online before booking a table.

### Google listing without local optimization

Their Google Business listing wasn't optimized for local search. Without a strong listing, Barranco stayed nearly invisible on Google Maps, exactly where people search for a restaurant nearby.

### Passive customer review management

Barranco wasn't managing customer reviews proactively. A steady stream of positive reviews reassures prospective diners and carries real weight in local search rankings.

### No targeted advertising campaigns

Facebook and Instagram had no targeted ad campaign running to build visibility. Those platforms let a restaurant put its food in front of new customers that word of mouth alone never reaches.

### Reservations without an automated system

Reservations and customer follow-up ran with no automated system behind them. Without automation, the restaurant risked losing new customers it had just won, simply from a lack of follow-up after their first visit.

## What work did we do?

SIB deployed an intensive local SEO strategy with Google Business optimization, proactive review management, and a targeted Facebook Ads campaign. A marketing automation system was put in place to manage reservations and build customer loyalty.

## What does the client say?

> Reaching #1 on Google Maps in just one month is incredible. Our reservations nearly doubled and customers now find us naturally. SIB truly understood our vision.

The client’s own words. This is their experience in their market, not a promise of results.
