## at a glance

Direct Pay Solutions is a certified reseller of Clover payment terminals and software, based in Laval. The company equips merchants across Quebec, from restaurants and clinics to retailers, salons, and car dealerships, with support in both French and English.

Before Social Influence, none of that showed up online. The site was a single page with no content to back up the product catalogue, and nothing in place to track who was actually calling or filling out a form to buy.

## what was the starting point?

Social Influence's first contact with Direct Pay Solutions led to an ongoing engagement, confirmed by an onboarding audit and a structured SEO action plan. At that point, directpaysolutions.ca was a single-page site built in React and Firebase, with no structure to carry a catalogue of terminals and software. The site lacked enough structure to present its catalogue and had no clear enquiry tracking.

## What did we find?

### One-page React site

The site was a single page built in React and Firebase, with no structured markup and no blog content. A single page gives Google only one URL to index for a catalogue that spans several terminals and services.

### Website only in English

The site existed only in English, in a market where a large share of searches happen in French. French-language searches for payment terminals had no matching page to answer them.

### Low backlink authority

The domain had almost no backlink authority, against a main competitor already well established online. Domain authority was limiting how the site could rank, alongside the content gaps.

### Credit union category

The Google Business Profile was listed under a category closer to a credit union than a payment processor. The wrong category kept the listing out of local searches for payment terminals; only the client can correct that setting in Google Business Profile.

### Physical presence in Laval

The client's strongest asset was a solid base of verified five-star Google reviews and a real office in Laval. That review base had nothing to do with search rankings, but it was a trust signal that had not yet been surfaced on any product page.

## What work did we do?

### [Website design in Montreal built to convert visitors into customers](https://socialinfluencebuilder.com/conception-web/)

- Migrated the site to WordPress on a custom theme.

- Shipped a bilingual build, French at the root and English under /en/.

- Replaced fragile embedded forms with a more reliable attribution system, which also fixed broken forms on a few templates.

- Put a permanent block on multilingual plugins after sitewide redirect loops.

- Fixed the English homepage display and removed an expired promotional banner.

### [Montreal SEO for local small businesses](https://socialinfluencebuilder.com/seo-montreal/)

- Onboarding audit, backlink strategy, and a bilingual content plan.

- Delivered a full SEO action plan.

- Fixed product-page markup issues flagged in Search Console, added the client's real Google rating to product pages, corrected old-URL redirects, and resubmitted pages for indexing.

- Corrected the head-office address across the site to read Laval, with Montreal kept as a service area, and updated local business markup with Google Business Profile-verified coordinates.

### [Google Ads Montreal: management that generates leads](https://socialinfluencebuilder.com/google-ads-montreal/)

- Built French and English Google Ads search campaigns with sitelinks, promotions, and product images, launched paused.

- Set up a conversion action on the thank-you pages, with a booking button added alongside the existing call button.

### [Lead management and CRM that helps Montreal SMBs close more customers](https://socialinfluencebuilder.com/crm-gestion-leads/)

- Stood up call and form tracking, which did not exist before this engagement.

- Reviewed the client's sales pipeline to guide follow-up priorities.

Social Influence started by rebuilding the site on WordPress with a custom theme, shipped in French at the root and English under /en/. On the SEO side, the work fixed the markup issues flagged in Search Console, added the client's real Google rating to product pages, cleaned up redirects from old URLs, and corrected the head-office address shown across the site to read Laval instead of Montreal. Google Ads search campaigns were built and launched paused, with conversion tracking installed on the thank-you pages. Call and form tracking went live for the first time, and the site's fragile embedded forms were replaced with a more reliable attribution system. Social Influence also put a permanent block on multilingual plugins after one caused sitewide redirect loops.
